How to achieve the darkest possible stain for your event.
Leave It On
Do not rush to remove the dried paste. Try to keep it on your skin for at least 6 to 8 hours (overnight is best) for maximum heat absorption.
Lemon & Sugar
Once the henna is dry, dab a sticky mixture of lemon juice and sugar over it. This stops it from flaking off and deepens the color.
Scrape, Don't Wash
When it's time to remove the paste, gently scrape it off with a butter knife or your nails. **Do not use water** for at least 12 hours after removal.
Apply Balm
After scraping it off, apply Vicks VapoRub, mustard oil, or coconut oil to your hands to protect the stain from water and lock in the heat.
